Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy has its origin in Osteopathy. Since the 1970s it has developed as a therapy in its own right. It is a gentle hands-on treatment which encourages the natural health potential and resilience of the individual, by supporting the body’s own capacity to heal and repair.
The biodynamic approach is based on the idea that all cells, organs and fluid flows in a healthy body express rhythmic movements fundamental to life. These can be felt by a trained therapist. When these movements become blocked or restricted – as a result of the pressure of life, illness, accidents or trauma – then pain, fatigue and other symptoms may be experienced. The Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy allows the body to release these areas of restriction in the body’s own way and at its own pace.
People have often found that Biodynamic treatment can have profound physical and psychological benefits, including an enhanced sense of well being.
